Unrestored Original 1979 VW Triple Black "Epilogue" Karmann Kabriolet

One of only 900 of this Model ever produced.

Wait! Don't adjust your screen. No, you're not seeing things. Once again the Captain's Collection over delivers. There are indeed two of these extremely rare Triple Black "Epilogue's" among the Fab Five. Check out this gorgeous unrestored 1979 VW Convertible in a beautiful Triple Black color combo with only 32 original miles! Yes, you read that right. Only showing 32 "delivery miles" since new.
The Triple Black's have a mystique all their own. Not to mention, with only 900 of these Models ever produced for the global market, the sheer rarity speaks volumes. With its black top and striking black interior, combined with its deeply rich black paint it's truly a wonderful color combo.
And what makes this example even more amazing is its manufactured date of September 1979. That means it's equipped with an 85mph speedometer as opposed to the 100mph speedometer that most of the 1979 Volkswagen Convertibles were originally equipped with. This was done in preparation to meet all of the new laws that were set to take place at the start of the 1980 Model year.

This time capsule is only one of the infamous "Captain's Collection" or as we more commonly refer to them, The Fab Five. That's because this is only one the the five most incredible classic 1979 Volkswagen Convertible's to have ever been discovered.
And we don't say that lightly. Sure, there have been a few "low miler's" to have shown up in the past but when was the last time you saw five of them pop up on the radar with so few miles. Not to mention a specimen such as this with only 900 examples ever having been produced. Like, never!?! Exactly.
In secure climate controlled indoor hibernation for the past 46 years and it looks every bit of it. Check out the Main page for all the details.
